Mens-Ties.com, one of the most prominent retailers of men’s ties and accessories on the Internet, today announced a series highlighting the top menswear pieces for 2012. The series will highlight five specific pieces – all of which are must haves for the modern man’s wardrobe.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 26, 2012 Mens-Ties.com, one of the most prominent retailers of men’s ties and accessories on the Internet, today announced a series highlighting the top menswear pieces for 2012. The series will highlight five specific pieces – all of which are must haves for the modern man’s wardrobe.
“Men’s fashion has certainly come a long way over the course of the past few decades; there’s just no getting around this,” says Mens-Ties.com founder Hendrik Pohl. “We spend a lot of time paying attention to the latest trends and pieces that are invading the industry, and these are just a few of the ones that we feel are at the top of their class this year. These are pieces that men of all walks of life can benefit from incorporating into their wardrobe, and believe it or not they aren’t overly expensive for the most part.
Each article highlights a specific menswear piece that has made its mark on the industry this year. The articles go into details regarding the specifics of each piece, as well as how modern men can incorporate them into an attractive ensemble. Banana Republic and Marc Jacobs are just two of the labels that are highlighted, with J. Crew also making the list.
“What we really wanted to do with this list was highlight items that are not only exceptionally high in quality, but relatively affordable and accessible as well,” says Pohl. “After all, not everyone can go out and drop $500 on a single piece; it’s fair to say that the vast majority of our readers have neither the money nor the interest in doing so to warrant such a purchase. We wanted to prove that you can get some of the best clothing on the market without spending a veritable fortune. After all, what’s the point of looking good if you can’t afford to pay your rent?”
While this is the most current series regarding modern menswear for Mens-Ties.com, the site has a history of publishing article series’ that focus on current trends and hot pieces in men’s fashion.
“Fashion is what we do, and we need to stay on top of things. The article series’ are not only beneficial to our readers, but help to also keep us on our toes as well.”

Going sock less is a trend that many men picked up without realizing the cons and only focusing on the few pros! FashionMensWear experts explain why this is a fashion no no!
Boynton Beach, FL (PRWEB) July 31, 2012
The latest fashion sizzle from top magazines like GQ and Details is about men sporting dress pants and dress shoes sans their socks! Whowuddathunkit! Certainly not fashion consultants like Giovanni Marquez, or anyone else with any fashion sense. 1956 was the year of James Dean and the same year Californians began wearing kakis, a blue blazer, boat shoes with no socks; that did make a fashion statement about being nuevo-riche or at least to dress for casual success. Perhaps one was heading for their yacht or perhaps just to the marina as though one had a yacht. It began in late August at the San Diego pier and rippled across the country until it reached New York City where the statement took root in fashion mens wear and remains embedded today. But, friends, kakis and a blue blazer are very different from an Italian Novello Suit and Fiesso Leopard Slip Ons. Bare ankles are not the statement one wants to make.
Moreover, bare feet pressed to a leather insole for an hour creates multiple problems and we’ll explain them one at a time right now. First, there is a stickiness issue. As pretty as dress shoes are, they do not wick away moisture. One hour of bare feet sticking to the leather in a high quality mens shoe would be liking stepping on gum! Second, the smell created by bare feet on leather would likely introduce a “who dunnit” by family and friends. “Did an animal die,” might be asked by any number of people. Accidental foot odor may be forgiven by family, friends or colleagues but deliberate foot odor for the sake of fashion is unwarranted. Third, why would anyone annihilate a fabulous dress shoe that cost more than $100.00 and never draw a compliment in the process.
Imagine for a moment that you’re going to a party. Perhaps you have decided that this was the time to put together a special look that paired a magnificent Bertigo shirt from your men shirts collection with a spectacular Veronesi Wide Leg Pant, and a new pair of Vito della Mora Italian Leather Lace-up. You arrive at the party, grab a Johnny Walker Blue on the rocks and sit cross-legged in a crowd of party goers. At what specific moment do you believe the blonde looking your way is going to give you a compliment about your boney, bare and unsightly ankles? If she does; write to us at reply(at)fsbmens.com and we’ll run your story in our blog. Save your shoes… save your reputation… wear coordinated socks!

London Men’s Fashion Week looks set to stay as the British Fashion Council announce it will return in January 2013.
BY Belinda White
31 July 2012
London’s first men’s fashion week – rather uncatchily known as London Collections: Men – was such a hit when it debuted last month, that the British Fashion Council have today announced it will make a return in January.
The three day event consisting of presentations, catwalk shows, and parties
(which you can see all the highlights of here),
showcased the best of British men’s fashion, and drew packed venues and a smattering of celebrity names throughout.
GQ editor, Dylan Jones, will continue to helm the event, assisted by a committee of style icons, media and leaders from fashion and the creative industries.
Joining David Gandy, David Walliams, Tinie Tempah and Tom Ford, on the panel next season will be artist Tracey Emin, actor Douglas Booth and
War Horse
star, Tom Hiddleston.
Any mashionistas wishing to ease back into work in the new year however, will be in for a rude awakening. London Collections: Men runs from January 7-9 due to a shortage of days in the calendar year when there isn’t a fashion week on somewhere in the world.
